We want you for...

We are looking for you to join our Health, Safety and Environment team at our Karlsruhe site on a full-time (42 hours, 14 days on, 14 days off) and permanent basis as a HSE Advisor (m/f/d). The site is located 35 kilometers north-west of Karlsruhe in the area of our Phase 1 project, where several geothermal wells are being drilled.

Your mission

  • Operational HSE support for drilling activities
  • Safety walks, JSAs, risk assessments, and clearances – directly on-site 
  • Monitoring of HSE compliance (occupational safety, health, environment) at the drilling rig 
  • Consulting and support for crews and contractors on safe work practices
  • Gas safety support, including area monitoring, clearance testing, and respiratory protection
  • Identifying and reporting non-conformities and initiating improvements
  • Inspections and testing as part of qualification procedures (e.g., fall protection equipment, lifting slings, ladders, scaffolding)
  • Daily documentation and reporting (HSE report, Life Card system) + coordination with other departments

Your profile

  • Completed technical/trade vocational training
  • 3–5 years of relevant HSE work experience in the energy industry or comparable industrial environments, preferably in the drilling, oil, and gas sectors. (Experience from offshore, marine, wind energy, or gas production environments is considered equivalent.)
  • Expertise in relevant HSE topics (e.g., PPE, lifting slings, ladders/stepladders) 
  • Qualifications in gas protection (coordination & equipment maintenance) and fire safety
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Structured, reliable, and self-motivated work style in operational environments
  • Ability to handle stress, strong communication skills, and a team- and solution-oriented approach with a high level of safety awareness
